Hey, this side Akanksha and this is my journey from fat to fit.

I am a 32 years old female, working in an IT company. I am a wife, a mother of a 2.5 year old kid, a daughter-in-law, in short a working house-wife, just a normal person like you. As of now I am living in a small town of UP with my in-laws due to this COVID situation.

In this COVID situation, gyms are not open, we cannot go for walk or cycling. Whatever we have to do, we have to do it at our home only.

I have same struggles as some of you, struggling with household cores and office work. At one time, you have to attend an office meeting and the next time you have to answer your kid’s call. And on top that, you have to study for your job to keep it safe and teach your kid as well.

There was a time when I loosed weight from 65 kg to 54 kg, but that was past and before marriage. After getting married, I got busy with my own life and started ignoring my health. Due to this, I gained a lot of weight. I started loosing interest in all the activities like party, going to relatives place etc. as I was not getting fit into the choice of my clothes and everyone asking me “Are you pregnant again?”. Some of them started giving me advice “How to loose weight”. This started irritating me and I stopped going outside.

I was happy in my own space with my kid roaming around me.

But still, I always dream of my old body and want to fit into the clothes of my choice.

Today, I will be taking my first step into the world of Yoga. Believe me, I never liked Yoga and always find it boring. But as gyms are not open, I don’t have any other choice apart from home workouts. I might also do some dancing or walking in between.

As of now, I only have a Yoga mat. My current weight is 74 kg and I come in Obese category. Yeah, I know its heart breaking.

I will be recording my daily activities, like what I ate, what exercises I did, daily weight etc.

I am recording these activities for myself only as I don’t think this simple blog can reach people. But still if does reach people, it might inspire someone. I will be more than happy if I can be of some help to someone.

As my body is not same like it was 10 years ago, I have to do more hard-work and dieting. More than anything, I need PATIENCE and SELF-CONTROL as I like to eat junk food a lot. I will also try to post the pic of the food that I ate.

I try to have a late breakfast, light lunch at 4 PM and dinner by 7 PM. I try to drink a lot of water in between to keep myself full. Remember the key to loose weight is to have early dinner and keep drinking water.

I am starting my journey of loosing 14 kg. That is from 74 kg to 60 kg.

I did that once and I can do it again, with a little bit of more hard-work.
